The streaming platform has commissioned an untitled documentary exploring the life and career of Dana White, the high-profile executive who has led the Ultimate Fighting Championship for over two decades. Gotham Chopra, known for his work on sports documentaries, will direct the feature, which began development as a film centered on Las Vegas before evolving into a broader biographical project.
The venture represents White's expanding footprint in media and entertainment beyond his principal role at the UFC. The documentary is expected to delve into White's journey in building the mixed martial arts organization into a global entertainment powerhouse worth billions of dollars.
With a targeted first-quarter 2027 release window, the Netflix project joins a growing slate of combat sports content on the platform. The timing positions the documentary to capitalize on the UFC's continued mainstream popularity, particularly in international markets including Asia, where the sport has experienced significant growth.
Details regarding the documentary's scope and subject matter remain limited as production continues. Netflix and the UFC have not released additional information about interviews, access, or specific themes the filmmakers plan to explore in the project.
