Following the successful establishment of Noida and Greater Noida as industrial centers, regional planners are now moving forward with an ambitious scheme to develop New Noida into a sprawling manufacturing and commercial hub. The new city is envisioned to span 84 villages, making it substantially larger than the existing Noida metropolitan area.
Development momentum has picked up considerably, with the initial phase of the project focusing on land acquisition across 37 villages. Administrative officials have initiated formal proceedings to acquire the necessary land parcels required for infrastructure development, industrial zones, residential areas, and ancillary facilities.
The expansion into New Noida represents a continuation of the National Capital Region's strategy to decentralize industrial activity and create employment opportunities beyond the congested core metropolitan areas. The phased approach allows authorities to manage land acquisition systematically while minimizing disruption to existing agricultural communities and residents.
Once fully operational, the new industrial city is expected to attract manufacturing units, logistics facilities, and supporting businesses, generating significant employment and contributing to the region's economic growth. The project timeline and investment requirements remain under review by state and national authorities overseeing regional development initiatives.
