KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia's Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) has rolled out the SARI@KRT programme, a comprehensive support initiative designed to assist domestic violence survivors in their journey toward recovery and independence.
The programme, which is expected to reach around 1,400 survivors across the country, represents a renewed commitment to addressing the persistent issue of domestic violence in Malaysia. According to the ministry, the initiative combines multiple forms of support to help survivors rebuild their personal and economic lives.
Ministry officials emphasised that the programme addresses critical gaps in existing support systems, offering tailored assistance that goes beyond immediate crisis intervention. The initiative encompasses various forms of aid designed to facilitate long-term recovery and social reintegration for affected individuals.
The launch of SARI@KRT comes amid growing awareness of the need for comprehensive, sustained support mechanisms for domestic violence survivors. The programme's nationwide scope reflects efforts to ensure that assistance reaches vulnerable populations across urban and rural areas.
Official figures on programme implementation and resource allocation are expected to be released in subsequent updates as the initiative gains momentum across participating regions.
