Newcastle boss Jaissle criticizes tactical departure in Everton defeat

Jaissle said Newcastle's decision to resort to long balls into the opposition half deviated significantly from the team's pre-match tactical setup, contributing to the disappointing result at St James' Park.

The German manager had clearly outlined a specific game plan ahead of the fixture, but players failed to adhere to the strategy during the match. The departure from the agreed approach proved costly as Everton secured all three points with a solitary goal.

The loss marks a setback for Newcastle's title ambitions in the Premier League season. Jaissle will be hoping to restore discipline and tactical cohesion in his squad's next fixture as the team looks to return to winning ways.

The manager's comments highlight the importance of execution and team discipline at the highest level of English football, where deviations from carefully prepared tactical plans can prove decisive in determining match outcomes.
