Ngee Ann Polytechnic students use art therapy to aid patient recovery

Students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's m52 student club have collaborated with Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital to create an exhibition titled "Sweet Memories Of Singapore," leveraging art as a therapeutic tool in patient care.
The project engages senior patients in the creative process, encouraging them to participate in artistic activities as part of their recovery journey. By channelling reminiscence and creative expression, the exhibition aims to provide both psychological and emotional benefits during rehabilitation.
The partnership reflects a growing recognition of art's role in holistic healthcare approaches. Through hands-on artistic engagement, patients are given an outlet for self-expression while stimulating cognitive and motor functions that support their overall recovery process.
