NGO considers legal action over delayed parking concession disclosure

The non-governmental organisation has signalled it may pursue court action after state bodies missed a disclosure deadline related to the controversial parking concession, marking an escalation in transparency disputes involving the scheme.
PJ Sejahtera claims that relevant authorities and government-linked companies have not released requested information on the Selangor Intelligent Parking contract despite a formal ruling requiring compliance. The delay has now extended beyond 140 days, the group stated.
The parking concession has drawn scrutiny from transparency advocates and residents' associations, who have raised concerns about procurement procedures and contract terms. The failure to provide timely disclosure adds to mounting pressure on state authorities to demonstrate accountability in major infrastructure contracts.
