NHAI trials recycled bitumen technology on Chennai-Tirupathi highway

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated a pilot project using reclaimed bitumen on a stretch of the Chennai-Tirupathi National Highway to assess the feasibility of employing recycled asphalt in road construction and maintenance. The trial represents the agency's initiative to incorporate sustainable materials in its highway development programmes across the country.
