GEORGE TOWN — The High Court here has adjourned proceedings in the trial of four men accused of murdering Nhaveen, after the defence team requested more time to examine witness statements.

The adjournment was granted to allow defence counsel adequate opportunity to review the materials and prepare their submissions. The court has scheduled the case to resume tomorrow to continue with the defence proceedings.

The four accused men are facing serious charges related to the murder. The trial has been progressing through the High Court in Penang, with both prosecution and defence presenting their arguments.

The postponement reflects standard legal practice in complex criminal cases, where adequate time for the defence to review evidence is considered essential to ensure a fair trial. Court proceedings are expected to continue once the defence team has completed their examination of the witness statements.

The case will return before the High Court judge tomorrow for the next phase of proceedings.
