Nice secure return of Ivorian striker Wahi on loan deal

Ivorian forward Elye Wahi has completed his loan move back to OGC Nice from German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, the French Ligue 1 side announced on Wednesday.

Wahi, who featured prominently in Nice's successful battle to avoid relegation in the previous campaign, departed for Frankfurt during the off-season. His stint in Germany proved brief, prompting his return to the Côte d'Azur outfit.

The 21-year-old striker had been instrumental in Nice's fight for survival, contributing crucial performances as the club ultimately preserved their position in France's top division.

The loan arrangement allows Nice to bolster their attacking options for the forthcoming season, with Wahi poised to provide additional firepower in their quest for improvement. His familiarity with the club's system and playing style is expected to aid his immediate integration into the squad.

Nice have not disclosed the specific terms of the loan agreement or whether it includes an option to purchase at its conclusion.
