Nithari Victims' Families Question Death Of Convicted Serial Killer Koli

Relatives of victims in the Nithari serial killings case have contested the circumstances surrounding the death of Surendra Koli, the man convicted in connection with the crimes that shocked India in the early 2000s. Koli, who was serving a life sentence, died in Haridwar, prompting fresh scrutiny from the victims' families.

Jhabboo Lal and Sunita, relatives of Nithari victims, have alleged that Koli was killed rather than dying of natural causes. They contend that the convicted serial killer possessed crucial information about the case that died with him. "Why would he be executed after all these years?" they questioned, suggesting foul play in his death.

The Nithari case remains one of India's most infamous criminal episodes. Between 2006 and 2009, Koli and his accomplice Moninder Singh Pandher were accused of the disappearances and deaths of numerous residents in the Noida locality. The case drew widespread attention for its brutality and the alleged involvement of a prominent businessman alongside Koli, a domestic servant.

While Koli was convicted in multiple cases, questions have persisted about the full extent of the crimes and whether all details were uncovered during investigations.
