NLB opens Peanuts-themed pop-up library at Plaza Singapura

The National Library Board (NLB) has opened a pop-up library dedicated to the Peanuts comic strip at Plaza Singapura, bringing Snoopy and Charlie Brown to the heart of Singapore's retail district. Located on Level 3 of the shopping mall, the space will operate daily from October 27, 2026, through September 19, 2027, offering a year-long immersive reading experience for patrons of all ages.

The pop-up library combines the charm of Charles Schulz's classic characters with curated book collections and interactive displays designed to foster a love of reading. The Peanuts gang's timeless appeal has made the partnership an effective tool for NLB's ongoing efforts to make literature accessible and engaging across Singapore's diverse communities.

The initiative reflects NLB's strategy of extending library services beyond traditional brick-and-mortar branches into high-traffic public spaces. Pop-up libraries have become an increasingly popular way to reach broader audiences and introduce reading programs to new demographics, particularly younger visitors who frequent shopping centers.

Visitors to the Plaza Singapura location will have access to a selection of titles while enjoying the nostalgic and whimsical atmosphere created by the Peanuts theme. The pop-up is part of NLB's broader commitment to promoting literacy and making library resources available throughout Singapore.
