MANILA — The North Luzon Expressway Corporation announced the completion of dredging work on the Tulaoc River section as of September 8, marking a significant milestone in addressing persistent drainage problems along the major transport corridor.
According to NLEx Corp., the dredging project has successfully eliminated pooling of rainwater on the expressway shoulders, a recurring issue that had affected traffic conditions and road safety during heavy rainfall. The completion of this phase represents the conclusion of excavation work in the immediate NLEx operational area.
The company noted that upstream dredging operations continue from the Manila Bay outfall toward Tulaoc and the expressway. These ongoing efforts form part of a broader initiative to improve water management and drainage efficiency in the region, extending beyond the express way proper.
