NLEx operations normalize as flood waters recede in Pampanga
The North Luzon Expressway has restored full capacity along a critical Pampanga corridor after weeks of monsoon-related flooding disrupted traffic flows. Tollway operators confirmed all three lanes near Tulaoc and the San Simon Interchange became passable Tuesday.

PULILAN, Bulacan—Motorists traversing the North Luzon Expressway can expect unimpeded travel following the clearance of flood waters that had severely constrained traffic on a key section of the tollway in Pampanga. All three lanes in the Tulaoc area and near the San Simon Interchange have been operational since Tuesday, according to NLEx management.
The affected expressway corridor had been substantially compromised by prolonged monsoon rains that inundated the region over several weeks. The waterlogging had created significant bottlenecks, forcing operators to implement lane restrictions and causing considerable delays for commuters relying on this vital transportation link.
With the restoration of full capacity, the tollway operator anticipates normalized traffic conditions throughout the stretch. The clearance marks a critical step in the recovery of transport infrastructure across the region, allowing commercial and passenger vehicles to resume regular flow patterns.
