NLEx prepares for surge in traffic during All Saints' and All Souls' Days

ANGELES CITY, PAMPANGA — The North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Corporation is bracing for a 3 to 5 percent surge in traffic volume across its network of expressways during the Undas period, traditionally observed from October 29 to November 3.

The anticipated increase will affect the NLEx, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx), and Mindanao Avenue Connector as Filipino families travel to cemeteries and religious observances honoring the feasts of the saints and souls. The period marks one of the year's heaviest travel seasons, with millions of Filipinos visiting burial grounds and participating in commemorative activities nationwide.

The expressway operator has implemented preparatory measures to manage the expected influx of motorists. These operational adjustments are designed to maintain traffic flow efficiency and ensure the safety of travelers during the holiday period.

Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and remain alert to road conditions during the peak Undas season. The NLEx Corporation continues to monitor traffic patterns and stands ready to deploy additional support as needed throughout the observance period.
