NLEx sees smooth traffic flow despite Pampanga flooding
The North Luzon Expressway reported manageable traffic conditions Sunday morning even as flooding persisted in parts of Pampanga. Water accumulation in the southbound lanes created localized hazards for motorists.

MANILA — The North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) maintained relatively light traffic flow Sunday morning despite flooding that affected sections of the major national route, according to NLEx Corporation officials.
As of 9:15 a.m., the expressway operator reported water buildup lingering in Lane 3 of the southbound direction near Tulaoc in San Simon, Pampanga. The standing water created a temporary hazard for vehicles traversing the affected stretch.
Despite the flooding, overall traffic volume remained below typical weekend levels, allowing most vehicles to proceed through the corridor without significant delays. The NLEx Corporation did not report any major accidents or complete lane closures stemming from the water accumulation.
Motorists using the expressway were advised to exercise caution in the flooded areas and reduce speed accordingly. The NLEx Corporation said it continued monitoring conditions and would issue updates as the situation developed.
