No Malaysian Deaths Confirmed in Nepal Incident, Says Foreign Ministry

The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Tuesday that it has yet to confirm reports of deaths among Malaysian citizens in connection with an incident in Nepal. A spokesperson for Wisma Putra, the ministry's headquarters, said that efforts to identify affected Malaysians are ongoing through close cooperation with Nepalese authorities. The embassy in Kathmandu has been mobilised to assist with the investigation and to support any Malaysian nationals who may require aid. Authorities are working to establish the full extent of the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available. Malaysian citizens with concerns about relatives or friends in Nepal are advised to contact the embassy directly or reach out to the ministry's operations centre.
