MANILA — Gina Acosta, former special disbursing officer of the Office of the Vice President, testified on Day 17 of Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial that she lacks acknowledgment receipts or other documentary evidence verifying that security officer Col. Raymund Lachica received P125 million in confidential funds from her.
The admission came as the trial proceeded with questioning of witnesses and examination of evidence related to the handling of discretionary funds by the vice president's office. Acosta's testimony focused on the disbursement procedures and chain of custody for the substantial sum in question.
