A district court in Lucknow has issued non-bailable warrants (NBW) against Shradha Dube and fellow accused Rashmi in relation to the death of Shiva Sharma, whose demise has been classified as suspicious by investigators. The move marks an escalation in the investigation as police intensify search operations to locate the absconding suspects.
Shradha Dube, one of the primary accused in the case, is suspected to have fled to Nepal. Authorities have heightened surveillance and coordination with border agencies following intelligence reports suggesting her possible presence across the international border.
Previously, Dube had circulated a video statement claiming innocence while characterizing Sharma's death as a suicide. The video release appeared to be an attempt to influence public perception of the case before her alleged departure from India. However, investigators have proceeded with criminal proceedings against her and other accused parties.
The issuance of non-bailable warrants indicates that the court has found sufficient grounds to believe the accused persons have committed cognizable offences. Police have stepped up raids at multiple locations in their efforts to apprehend the fugitives. The case continues to draw scrutiny as authorities work to establish the exact circumstances surrounding Sharma's death.
