Norris leads practice as champion Antonelli makes title-winning return

Norris set the benchmark time during the opening 60-minute session at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace circuit, establishing early dominance as teams began their preparations for the weekend's main event.

Antonelli's return to competitive action marked his first track appearance following his championship-clinching performance at the Mexican Grand Prix last weekend. The newly crowned world champion demonstrated immediate pace, securing second place on the practice timesheets and signalling his readiness for the demanding São Paulo circuit.

The Brazilian venue, known for its challenging weather conditions and technical layout, sets the stage for the penultimate round of the season. Teams will use the remaining practice sessions on Friday and Saturday morning to fine-tune their setups and strategies ahead of qualifying and Sunday's race.

Conditions during first practice remained relatively stable, allowing drivers to accumulate valuable data on tire performance and car balance as preparation intensifies for the competitive phases of the weekend.
