North Korea Denounces Seoul as US 'Servant' Over Military Drill Scaling

North Korea has lashed out at South Korea and the United States following the scaling back of joint military drills, describing Seoul as a 'servant' of Washington in inflammatory state media commentary. The criticism underscores Pyongyang's long-standing opposition to the combined exercises, which it characterises as invasion rehearsals targeting the regime.

The Trump administration's decision to reduce the scope and scale of these defence exercises marks a shift in US policy towards the Korean peninsula. Such modifications to military coordination between Seoul and Washington have previously triggered strong reactions from North Korea, which views the drills as direct threats to its security.
