IPOH — The left lane of the North-South Expressway southbound at kilometre 263.6, near the Menora Tunnel, has reopened to traffic following the completion of slope stability assessments.
The temporary closure, which was implemented as a precautionary measure, prompted engineers to conduct thorough inspections of the affected embankment. Upon completion of the evaluation, authorities determined that the slope posed no immediate safety risk to road users.
The reopening restores full capacity on the southbound carriageway in this section, which carries significant traffic volumes between Kuala Lumpur and southern destinations. Commuters are advised to exercise normal caution while travelling through the area.
