MANILA — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has issued a weather advisory for Extreme Northern Luzon ahead of All Souls' Day on November 2, with the northeast monsoon, or amihan, expected to bring precipitation to the area.
The state weather agency forecasts partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers affecting the northernmost regions as the seasonal wind pattern strengthens. Residents in affected areas are advised to monitor further updates from Pagasa regarding weather conditions and any associated hazards.
The northeast monsoon, which typically prevails during the cooler months, commonly brings moisture-laden winds from the Pacific Ocean, resulting in rainfall across northern and eastern portions of Luzon. The timing coincides with the national observance of All Souls' Day, when many Filipinos visit cemeteries and conduct remembrance activities.
