CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Law enforcement authorities in Northern Mindanao concluded a major anti-crime sweep this week, dismantling operations linked to drug trafficking, smuggling, illegal mining, and underground gambling networks.
The coordinated operation, conducted by the Police Regional Office-10 (PRO-10) from September 10 to 16, resulted in the apprehension of 145 suspects and the seizure of contraband valued at P6.7 million, according to police officials.
The week-long campaign reflected efforts by regional police to combat organized crime activities spanning multiple illicit sectors. Officers conducted simultaneous operations across various jurisdictions within Northern Mindanao, targeting criminal syndicates engaged in narcotics distribution, goods smuggling, unlicensed mining operations, and clandestine gambling establishments.
