The National Registration Department (NRD) revealed that 365 foreigners have been charged in connection with fake MyKad cards and fraudulent birth certificate offences over an eight-month period, underscoring growing concerns about identity document abuse in the country.
The disclosure was made by the department as authorities continue to tighten monitoring and enforcement against document-related crimes, which have become increasingly sophisticated in recent years.
