NTA Announces Revised Exam Schedule for Major 2026-27 Entrance Tests

The National Test Agency (NTA) has published a revised examination calendar for the 2026-27 academic cycle, providing updated timelines for multiple national-level entrance tests. The calendar, effective from December 2026 through April 2027, encompasses four major competitive examinations that attract lakhs of candidates annually across India.

The rescheduled calendar includes dates for the UGC NET examination, which is crucial for candidates aspiring for research fellowships and lectureship positions in higher educational institutions. The Joint CSIR-UGC NET, conducted for recruitment in scientific research positions, has also been accommodated in the new timeline. Additionally, engineering aspirants preparing for JEE Main examinations will find their test dates within this revised framework.

The CUET PG examination, which determines admission to postgraduate programmes across numerous central universities, has similarly been integrated into the updated schedule. The revision is intended to provide clarity to test-takers and educational institutions regarding examination timelines and result announcements.

Institutions and candidates are advised to visit the official NTA website for comprehensive details regarding examination dates, registration schedules, and application procedures. The agency has emphasized that all stakeholders should regularly monitor official notifications for any further updates or clarifications regarding the examination calendar.
