NTA opens applications for observer panel overseeing national entrance exams

The National Test Agency (NTA) has invited applications from eligible professionals seeking to join its observer panel for national-level examinations. The recruitment drive aims to strengthen the oversight mechanism for major entrance tests that determine admission to educational institutions across India.

The observer panel will provide independent monitoring during the conduct of prestigious examinations including the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), Common University Entrance Test (CUET), and University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET). Interested candidates must submit their applications by December 6.

Eligible categories include serving government school and college teachers, professors holding positions at pay level 8 or above, retired government officials at the same pay scale, senior military personnel, and personnel from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The observer roles are critical to ensuring transparency and fairness in the conduct of these high-stakes examinations that affect hundreds of thousands of students annually.

The NTA has not disclosed the exact number of observer positions available or specific responsibilities beyond the general oversight function. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to visit the official NTA portal for detailed application instructions and supporting documentation requirements.
