The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday released its proposed examination schedule for the coming academic cycle, covering a four-month period from December 2026 to March 2027. A total of 14 competitive tests are slated for conduction during this window, with the calendar encompassing major entrance and admission examinations across multiple educational sectors.

The first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main for engineering admissions will be held from January 22-24 and January 28-30, 2027, with January 31 designated as a buffer date to accommodate any unforeseen delays. The UGC-NET examination is tentatively scheduled for December 14-19, with December 20-21 reserved as contingency dates, while the Joint CSIR UGC-NET will run concurrently from December 20-21.

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) has been scheduled for February 7, 2027, while the Common University Post Graduate Admission Test (CUET-PG) will span three separate windows beginning March 1-5, followed by March 8 and March 12-20.

The NTA emphasized that all proposed dates are provisional and may be altered owing to administrative requirements, academic calendars, statutory obligations, logistical constraints, or other unforeseeable developments. Candidates are advised to monitor the agency's official channels for any subsequent updates or modifications to the schedule.
