The National Test Agency (NTA) has announced September 1 as the rescheduled examination date for 49 candidates affected by a power failure during the All India Annual Postgraduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026.

The disruption occurred at an examination centre in Jaipur, preventing the affected candidates from completing their test under normal conditions. In response to the technical failure, the NTA decided to conduct a separate examination session exclusively for the impacted candidates.

The move aims to ensure fairness and provide the 49 candidates an opportunity to take the examination without disadvantage. The AIAPGET is a crucial entrance test for postgraduate medical programmes across India, and the agency has prioritised minimising disruption to the examination process.

Candidates affected by the power outage have been notified individually regarding the rescheduled date and venue details. The NTA has advised all test-takers to remain vigilant for official communication and updates on its website regarding examination logistics and admit card availability.
