MANILA — The National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac) is positioning itself as a key driver of reconstruction in communities emerging from prolonged armed conflict, according to statements from its leadership.
Executive Director Danilo Pamonag outlined plans to coordinate with national government agencies and local government units to channel infrastructure development into conflict-affected regions. The task force sees the provision of basic services and development projects as essential to consolidating peace gains and preventing a return to conflict.
The initiative reflects the government's broader strategy to address root causes of insurgency by improving living conditions in marginalized areas.
