MANILA — The National University–Mall of Asia (NU-MOA) campus in Pasay City was thoroughly searched and cleared of any explosive devices following an alleged bomb threat reported to authorities, the university confirmed on Thursday.
The Philippine National Police MOA Sub-station, Pasay Investigation Division, and Pasay Bureau of Fire Protection jointly conducted the security sweep of the educational facility. All three agencies completed their investigation and determined the campus posed no danger to students, faculty, or staff.
The university did not provide details regarding when the threat was received, who made the report, or the nature of the alleged threat. The incident underscores ongoing security concerns at major commercial and educational hubs in the capital region, where large crowds gather daily.
No injuries or damage was reported during the incident or subsequent investigation. NU-MOA, located within the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay, serves thousands of students across multiple academic programs. The all-clear announcement allowed normal campus operations to resume.
