The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya has completed a bird census documenting 68 species across selected areas of the province, according to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Cagayan Valley office. The survey was conducted jointly by the Provincial Tourism and Culture Office and the Wild Bird Photographers group, focusing on the province's mountain ecosystems.
The findings highlight Nueva Vizcaya's position as a region of considerable biological diversity, with its varied topography and forest cover providing habitat for numerous avian species. The census results are expected to inform conservation and tourism development strategies in the province.
