The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has arrested an officer attached to the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) in connection with alleged corruption offences.
The arrested individual has been identified as Ranhoti Bandaralage Gamini Sarath Kumara, who held the position of officer in charge at the council. Authorities allege that Kumara solicited and accepted a bribe of Rs. 6,500 from a member of the public.
