Odisha plants to unlock rare earth elements from industrial waste

The National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO) is supporting the establishment of pilot plants in Odisha designed to recover rare earth elements from industrial waste streams. The initiative represents a significant step toward addressing both resource scarcity and waste management challenges in India's manufacturing sector.

The pilot projects will operate on patented processes specifically developed for research and development purposes.
