Odisha sets up expert panel to oversee care of five rescued orangutans

Odisha has established a dedicated technical panel to oversee the care and welfare of five orangutans rescued from illegal captivity within the state. The committee has been tasked with assessing all issues related to the animals' health, nutrition, habitat conditions, and overall management standards.

According to an official order, the panel will conduct regular evaluations of the rescued primates and furnish technical recommendations to ensure they receive appropriate care befitting their species-specific needs.
