Ombudsman Builds Case Against Romualdez With 42 Witnesses

The Office of the Ombudsman's investigation into Leyte Representative Martin Romualdez has expanded significantly, with investigators now securing statements from 42 witnesses in connection with allegations of plunder, graft, bribery, and money laundering tied to flood control projects, according to Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano.

Clavano announced Friday that the recent addition of 28 new witnesses has substantially bolstered the Ombudsman's complaints against the longtime congressman. The expanded witness list is expected to provide additional evidence for the various charges under investigation.
