One dead, eight rescued after motorboat capsizes off Antique

CALAPAN CITY — One person died and eight others were rescued after motorboat SAN AGUSTIN IV capsized in waters near Liwagao Island in the Antique municipality of Caluya on Sunday, according to the Philippine Coast Guard. The vessel was en route to Occidental Mindoro when the incident occurred, prompting an immediate response from Coast Guard Sub-Station San Jose. The rescued passengers were brought to safety following a search and rescue operation launched after the motorboat failed to reach its destination.
