MANILA — Results from the Social Weather Stations' second-quarter survey indicate a polarized assessment of living standards across the Philippines, with 33 percent of adult respondents reporting improvements in their quality of life while an equal share reported declines.
The survey was conducted between June 20 and 29, 2026, capturing perspectives from a representative sample of Filipino adults nationwide. The findings reflect a near-even split in public sentiment regarding recent changes in household conditions and personal circumstances.
The balanced results suggest mixed economic conditions across different segments of the population, with roughly one-third experiencing positive changes while another third faced challenges. The remaining respondents likely reported no significant change or were undecided on whether their circumstances had shifted.
Social Weather Stations conducts regular nationwide surveys to track public opinion on key indicators of national progress and citizen well-being. The second-quarter findings contribute to an ongoing assessment of how Filipinos perceive their economic and social circumstances throughout the year.
