KORONADAL CITY — Law enforcement agencies across South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat are grappling with a dramatic increase in online threats following the September 18 shooting incident at Banga National High School, authorities said Monday.
Police Brig. Gen. Allan Manibog, director of the Police Regional Office 12, reported that officers have documented 65 online threats in the weeks following the attack. The surge in digital intimidation has prompted a coordinated law enforcement response across the two provinces.
In response to the escalating threat landscape, police have arrested approximately 40 individuals implicated in online threat cases.
