Opposition bloc stages major Delhi march, backs local traders

The Opposition coalition's 'Chalo Dilli' march commenced at noon from the Minto Road-Connaught Place junction, drawing crowds of supporters and party workers to the streets of New Delhi. The procession proceeded toward Ramlila Maidan, where organizers had scheduled a comprehensive rally spanning from 10am to 5pm to accommodate the anticipated turnout.

Leading the mobilization efforts, senior Opposition figures, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, used the platform to address economic concerns facing India's trading community. Gandhi and other speakers encouraged participants to prioritize purchases from local merchants and small traders, framing consumer choices as a form of economic solidarity.

The 'Chalo Dilli' march represented a coordinated political response from multiple Opposition parties united under the INDIA bloc banner. The gathering sought to amplify discontent over various governance issues while projecting organizational capability ahead of electoral contests.

Security arrangements were put in place across central Delhi to manage the demonstration, with traffic diversions implemented in the vicinity of the march route and rally venue. The event underscored the Opposition's sustained efforts to maintain political momentum through large-scale public mobilizations.
