Organised crime suspect arrested upon deportation to Sri Lanka
Manoj Muthukumar, known as 'Kaivaru Muthu' and suspected of links to organised criminal networks, has been arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport following his deportation from the United Arab Emirates.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) apprehended Muthukumar at BIA in Katunayake yesterday after he was deported from Sharjah in the UAE, where he had been detained by local authorities. The suspect is alleged to have associations with Samayan, a known organised crime figure. The arrest comes as part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to tackle organised criminal activity in the country. Muthukumar is expected to be handed over to relevant authorities for further investigation and processing. The case highlights continued cooperation between Sri Lankan law enforcement and international partners in tracking suspects involved in organised crime networks.
