Over 1 million HDB households to receive utility rebates in October

The rebates, delivered through the enduring GST Voucher (GSTV) initiative, aim to provide financial relief to HDB residents on essential household expenses. The scheme represents a continuation of government support for lower and middle-income households grappling with utility costs.

Under the GSTV framework, eligible HDB households receive regular rebates credited directly toward their U-Save and Service and Conservancy Charge (S&CC) accounts. The October disbursement marks another cycle of assistance provided to help offset the cost of water, electricity, and building maintenance expenses.

The GST Voucher scheme was established as a permanent measure to help offset the impact of Goods and Services Tax increases on household budgets. By targeting utilities and conservancy charges, the rebates address core living expenses that consume a significant portion of household budgets for many residents.
