Over 4,200 flood evacuees remain sheltered in San Fernando, Pampanga

MABALACAT CITY — Authorities in San Fernando, Pampanga reported that 1,126 families totaling 4,283 individuals remained in evacuation centers and staging areas as of Monday, Aug. 31, following recent flooding in the region.
According to the San Fernando municipal government, 52 families comprising 198 people have been transferred to permanent evacuation centers, while the remaining 1,074 families numbering 4,085 individuals continue to shelter in temporary facilities.
The extended displacement reflects the scale of damage caused by the flooding, with local officials managing the distribution of evacuees across multiple shelter locations. The municipal government has not announced a timeline for when evacuees may return to their homes.
