Over a quarter of government school teachers embrace AI tools regularly

According to findings released in a recent report, approximately 26 per cent of government school teachers across India have incorporated artificial intelligence into their regular teaching practices. The data points to an emerging shift in how educators are leveraging digital tools to enhance classroom instruction and administrative tasks.

The acceptance of AI technology among the teaching workforce appears notably strong, with 72 per cent of surveyed educators expressing positive sentiment toward the tools. This level of optimism suggests that teachers recognize potential benefits in deploying AI for various educational functions, from curriculum planning to student assessment.

The widespread adoption among nearly three-quarters of respondents indicates that concerns about AI implementation in schools may be less pronounced than in other sectors. As government institutions increasingly explore technology integration, the receptiveness of educators could prove instrumental in determining how effectively such tools are deployed across the education system.

The report underscores a growing recognition among India's teaching community that artificial intelligence, when appropriately applied, can complement traditional pedagogical methods.
