Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), on Monday raised concerns about the government's approach to China amid ongoing border tensions. The opposition leader described the situation along the India-China border as serious and questioned why the government appeared to be maintaining a conciliatory posture toward Beijing.

Owaisi urged the central government to place a detailed and independent assessment of the border situation before the country. He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability regarding India's diplomatic and military response to Chinese activities along the contested frontier.

Following reports of confrontations between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Arunachal Pradesh, Owaisi called for Parliament to convene a special session dedicated to deliberating India's China policy. The opposition parliamentarian stressed that such a discussion was essential given the gravity of border security concerns.

The remarks reflect broader political debate in India over how the Modi government has handled relations with China during a period marked by repeated military standoffs and unresolved border disputes. Opposition parties have previously questioned the government's handling of the 2020 Galwan Valley clash and subsequent border incidents.
