Prism Hotels and Resorts, the holding company of OYO Rooms, has announced a four-fold increase in its net profit for FY2025-26, reaching Rs 994 crore. The strong financial performance underscores the improving operational efficiency and growth trajectory of the hospitality group, which has undergone significant restructuring in recent years.
The company is currently seeking to strengthen its balance sheet by raising up to Rs 6,650 crore through a fresh issue of equity shares. This capital infusion is expected to support expansion plans and enhance the company's financial flexibility as it navigates India's competitive hospitality sector.
The substantial profit growth reflects OYO's efforts to optimize its business model and improve margins across its portfolio of properties. The company, which operates in the budget hospitality and co-living segments, has focused on enhancing unit economics and reducing operational costs.
The fundraising initiative comes at a time when consolidated travel and hospitality demand in India continues to recover and expand. With the fresh capital, Prism aims to accelerate growth initiatives and strengthen its competitive positioning in the mid-budget and economy segments of India's accommodation market.
