The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued the advisory at 2 p.m., cautioning residents in 10 provinces to prepare for heavy downpours during the afternoon hours. The wet weather stems from the ongoing effects of the habagat, or southwest monsoon, which has been bringing moisture-laden winds across the archipelago. Residents in affected areas are advised to take precautions against potential flooding and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous communities. Pagasa urged local government units to monitor weather conditions closely and implement necessary emergency response measures. The weather service said it would continue to monitor atmospheric conditions and issue updates as needed.
