The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued the advisory at 11:20 a.m., warning that multiple areas across the country's largest island would be affected by deteriorating weather conditions. The alert encompasses the National Capital Region along with other parts of Luzon, where residents are urged to exercise caution during the forecasted period.
According to the weather bureau, the expected conditions include moderate to heavy rain showers accompanied by lightning and strong wind gusts. Such weather patterns pose risks to outdoor activities and travel, with potential impacts on transportation and power supply in affected areas.
The public is advised to monitor updates from Pagasa and take necessary precautions. Residents in vulnerable areas should prepare for possible flooding and landslides, particularly in low-lying communities and areas with poor drainage systems. Drivers are encouraged to exercise extra care on roadways that may become slippery due to heavy precipitation.
