Pakatan Harapan must strengthen machinery ahead of Melaka polls

Faiz Fadzil has urged Pakatan Harapan (PH) to conduct a thorough review of its organisational readiness before contesting the Melaka state election, citing lessons from the coalition's disappointing performances in Johor and Negeri Sembilan.

The Amanah politician emphasized that regardless of the opposition's electoral strategy for the Melaka polls, the coalition must prioritize strengthening its ground machinery and ensuring party structures are mobilised well in advance of voting day.

The remarks underscore growing concerns within PH about maintaining momentum in state-level contests, particularly as the coalition seeks to rebuild its political standing following a series of setbacks in recent elections. Party observers have noted that organisational shortcomings and voter mobilisation issues have contributed to PH's difficulties in retaining support at the state level.
