Pakistan claim tri-series title as Zaman's century stuns Sri Lanka

Pakistan clinched the tri-series championship after a dominant display against Sri Lanka, with opener Imam-ul-Haq's century proving instrumental in securing the decisive victory. Zaman's aggressive batting proved too much for the Sri Lankan bowling attack, setting the platform for Pakistan's successful chase and tournament triumph.

The century from Zaman came at a crucial juncture in the match, shifting momentum decisively in Pakistan's favor. His composed yet attacking approach dismantled Sri Lanka's bowling strategy, forcing the opposition into defensive positions throughout his innings. The partnership Pakistan built around Zaman's performance ensured the team crossed the winning target with relative comfort.

Sri Lanka, despite competitive performances throughout the tournament, could not prevent Pakistan from claiming the title. The Sri Lankan bowling unit struggled to contain Pakistan's batting lineup, particularly in the middle and death overs, where Zaman's aggressive stroke-play accelerated the scoring rate.

Pakistan's tri-series victory comes as a morale booster for the team ahead of upcoming international commitments. The tournament provided valuable match practice and demonstrated the team's capability to perform under pressure in limited-overs cricket. Zaman's match-winning century adds to his growing reputation as a reliable performer in Pakistan's top order.
