Pakistan clarifies no military action agreed under Mecca pact

Pakistan has moved to clarify that military intervention was not part of negotiations leading to a pact signed in Mecca, amid regional tensions over Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian targets.

Official statements from Islamabad emphasised that while military options were not on the table during discussions, Pakistan remains prepared to respond should developments require action in defence of Saudi Arabia.
